Started in 2021, this event was put together to commence a scholarship in honor of STPGA Past President Charlie Epps. Mr. Epps has been a fixture in golf in Houston for over 40 years and continues his good work by impacting lives though golf and helping juniors further their education and get closer to their dreams!

Charlie Epps Biography
Charlie Epps, PGA has left an indelible mark on the golf community, particularly in Houston and beyond. Since 1973, Epps been a fixture in Houston's golf scene, teaching at Golf Club of Houston and previously at clubs like Houston Country Club and Pine Forest Country Club. Epps has coached notable players like Angel Cabrera and Blaine McCallister and hosts the Charlie Epps Golf Hour on SportsMap Nation Radio Network. He is dedicated to developing young talent and creating a positive impact on individuals through golf. Epps is among the most decorated professionals in the Southern Texas PGA with awards spanning from Professional of the Year to Player of the Year.
