2nd Annual STPGA HOPE Cup Returns This September at the Quarry Golf Course
The Southern Texas PGA HOPE Cup is Back!
SPRING, TX (June 25, 2025) – The Southern Texas PGA is proud to announce the return of the STPGA HOPE Cup, now in its second year, taking place on September 8, 2025 at the scenic Quarry Golf Cours in San Antonio, Texas. With a 1:30 PM shotgun start, this 9-hole tournament will once again bring together PGA HOPE graduates, instructors, and supporters for an afternoon of camaraderie, celebration, and impact.
The STPGA HOPE Cup is more than a tournament—it is a tribute to the strength, resilience, and commitment of our military Veterans. PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), the flagship military program of the PGA of America, introduces golf to Veterans to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. Offered at no cost to Veterans, PGA HOPE Southern Texas is taught by PGA Professionals and has a proven track record of changing—and saving—lives.
The event will follow a scramble format and include teams of five, composed of one PGA HOPE Southern Texas instructor and four graduates. Whether players are new to the game or seasoned golfers, the structure ensures a welcoming, team-oriented experience.
“We’re honored to continue the momentum of the STPGA HOPE Cup,” said Thomas Hutton, Executive Director of the Southern Texas PGA. “This event is a powerful reminder of what golf can do—not just as a game, but as a tool for healing, connection, and purpose.”
Following play, participants will gather for a dinner and awards ceremony, highlighting the accomplishments of the day and the collective progress of the PGA HOPE community in Southern Texas.
“We look forward to another meaningful day of golf and gratitude,” said Scott Archer, Assistant Executive Director of the Southern Texas PGA. “This tournament is a celebration of everything our PGA HOPE graduates have accomplished—and a chance to deepen the bonds within this incredible community.”
Proceeds from the 2nd Annual STPGA HOPE Cup will directly benefit PGA HOPE Southern Texas, supporting free golf instruction, adaptive equipment, and playing opportunities for Veterans of all backgrounds and abilities.
